Maintenance
A well-made garment, properly cared for, will outlast fashion cycles many times over. These notes will help you get decades of wear from every piece.
Fine wool and cashmere require gentle handling. Both fibres are naturally self-cleaning to a degree — air your knitwear after wearing it and reserve washing for when it is genuinely necessary.
Cotton and linen are robust, breathable fibres that handle machine washing well — provided you observe a few basic rules.
Leather and suede are living materials that improve with age when properly maintained. Never machine wash or dry-clean leather or suede pieces at home — always take them to a specialist leather cleaner for deep cleaning.
