Materials
From the source.
We begin with the cloth. Every fabric we use is traced to a named mill — Loro Piana in Piedmont for our wools, Albini in Bergamo for fine linens, and the last remaining tweed weavers on the Isle of Harris for outerwear that weathers decades without apology. There are no intermediaries, no compromises on provenance.
When you hold one of our overcoats to the light, you are holding the result of that relationship: fibres selected at the raw stage, woven on looms that have not changed in fifty years, finished by finishers who consider their craft a form of authorship.
Craftsmanship
Measured in fractions.
Every pattern in our collection is cut by a small atelier in Lisbon whose founding family has dressed professionals and intellectuals for three generations. The patterns are drafted to a tolerance of two millimetres. Seam allowances are pressed with a tailor's ham, not a steam tunnel. Buttons are set by hand.
This is not nostalgia. It is the only reliable method we have found for making garments that retain their shape — and their meaning — after ten years of wear.
Sustainability
Less, but better.
We produce two collections a year. Not four, not twelve — two. Each run is limited by the yardage we can responsibly source from our mill partners in a given season. When a fabric sells out, it is gone. We do not reorder in cheaper alternatives to chase a trend.
Our packaging uses unbleached boards and water-based inks. Unsold stock — which is rare, by design — is either held for future seasons, offered to staff, or donated to clothing charities. Nothing we make ends up in a landfill for want of planning.
